Fulcrum res. 2
Afc eastney. 1

Eastney started slow and had to adapt to players missing due to going home for Xmas and on 7 mins fulcrum scored

Fulcrum had most of the play at first but eastney tried hard to comeback but Then on 30 mins fulcrum scored again

The rest of the half eastney started to play better after a few changes but that’s how the half ended 2-0 to fulcrum

Second half

Second half

Eastney started stronger and had a few shots on goal but fulcrum were still the better team and had most of the control of the second half

Then eastney subbed on Flynn dodkin and they started to take more control and on 32 mins of the second half eastney scored a cracking goal by sub Flynn dodkin from the right wing straight into the top corner of the goal assisted by Vinnie gofton ( it was debatable whether this was a shot or a cross )

eastney continue to pressure and had a few shots and tried to get the equaliser to take it into penalties, but unfortunately Fulcrum were just too good and eastney could not get that last goal
So it finished 2-1 to fulcrum

Hilsea started the match but it was the home side who had the first real opportunity of the match in the 8th minute, but Ross Adair was not quite able to find the net.

It was the visitors who took the lead in the 10th minute, and when they added a second just 2 minutes later it looked like the two division gap between the sides might begin to show, but Eastney dug deep and pulled a goal back in the 19th minute. Ross Adair's pass found Lewis Davis, whose fierce shot nutmegged the Hilsea 'keeper.

The game was developing into fast-moving and at times physical contest, which the referee seemed content to allow to flow, and the hosts equalised ten minutes before the break with Ross Adair again the architect, setting up Michael Ericsson who neatly chipped the Hilsea 'keeper.

Eastney were now playing some of their best football of the game and in truth looked the equal of their Division 5 opponents and the half finished with the hosts deservedly level.

Eastney restarted the contest in the same fashion they had ended the first half and were a little unfortunate not to take the lead in the 50th minute, but Michael Ericsson's shot lacked the power to beat the keeper.

Eastney weren't having it all their own way though, with some dogged defending and a fantastic save by Romano Bradford with his legs keeping the score level.

Hilsea regained the lead from the in the 55th minute with a textbook penalty that
gave Romano Bradford absolutely no chance.

With 10 minutes left, a tactical change saw Adam Davies move up front, and he was unlucky to not make a quick impact as he saw his effort rebound off the woodwork.

The rearranged defence, however, was missing his influence and the visitors went further ahead in the 81st minute with a goal that
in fairness looked to be well offside, and with 5 minutes remaing a fifth Hilsea goal ended any faint hopes of a comeback for an Eastney side who for most of the game were every bit the equal of their higher league opponents.
